I noticed that too
buffaloman_R Hello, :bm_r:

YEAH! I have noticed that too, but upon closer repeated listens, it sounds like JK is mouthing along in a mic in the studio. It sounds like to me that JK is mouth singing with it has Jam plays it in the studio, you REALLY only notice it when you listen to it with the treble all the way up. It little discoveries like this that make being Jamiroquai Fans so special Very Happy! Thanks for listening and Peace Wink!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Yes! Very Happy I though about that and I presume that it´s a recording mistake or something; I mean, It´s not supose to happen.

Well when I thought about it a bit I came to the conclusion that originally it was Jay Kay's intention to have singing on the track but then decided to make it an instumental for whatever reason. What I belive we are hearing is Jay Kay singing the song as originally planned but it being picked up by another mic from a different instrument. I know some bands record each layer individually (E.g. 7drums , 7saxophone etc..) but it is a possibility that they recorded the original sing track with other instruments playing isn't it? And those microphones give us the really quiet distant sound of JAY KAY singing..............Anyway thats my 2 cents....If you haven't heard it yet Listen to JamiroFan and crank the treble up and check it out..........Peace Smile

I will....
buffaloman_R Hello again, :bm_r:

Hmm, you may well be right Funker, I also think JK meant to vocals on this track! I will listen to it again soon with the treble all the way down, but for right now, my ears are honed on the "20th Century Masters: Roy Ayers" CD compilation for right now, man, such great funky stuff Wink! Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

P.S. I would like to thank EvoV for making me this AWESOME new Jam banner....excellent job mate Wink!

Wow, you guys have really good ears. I cranked it all the way up, and I could just barely what sounded like some lips moving. You may be right. I'm just amazed you heard this.

Little sounds to make a big sound
I was always speculating what Jay sings on "bullet".
You can hear his voice better there, but not what he is singing (at least I don't get anything)

I always liked and always will like those "secrets". I was almost disappointed when I did not hear any secrets on A funk odyssey (or Synkronized).
But there actually ARE little sounds in the last two albums. not so many, but at least somes!
Like on 20-0-1, I was listening with just one earphone and suddenly noticed that the electro guitar plays slighty different on one side than on the other side.

and then of course all those 3D effects, to have some instruments on one side or you hear them moving away and closer and around your head (like a bell in Stillness in Time)
there once was a website with many many "secrets" from the first three albums... I wonder if this website still exists...
