Jamiroquai In "Gladiator: The Video"?!?!?
Hello, :bm_r:
Man, talk about weird rumours, I just heard a hum-dinger of a rumour on the Funkin Site Guestbook ! Some fan heard on the radio that JK will be dressed a Roman Gladiator in the first video for the upcoming 6th Jamiroquai album. Hmm, I must say, JK is notorious for surprising us fans, now if this is true, he better have been working out..hehe:-)). I mean, I can't imagine a Jamiroquai video concerning Roman gladiatorial fighting, I mean, JK would be lionmeat ! Also, in comparison, a old Jam sounding song played along with this media would be even more awkward! Oh, heck, it could end up being a very amusing video, I could envision it now, JK, dressed like Russell Crowe, short dirty hair, basic goatee, sitting with the other slaves waiting for their cue for battle. The Roman guards motion to JK that his time for battle is at hand, JK stands up, walks slowly over to a table covered in metals gladiator arms, he picks up his sword as sparks from the Roman metalsmiths fly past his head. JK comes to the table with all the artistic gladiator helmets and masks, JK takes several minutes browsing all them, until he finds a helmet made of lion hide with two buffaloman horns protruding out either sides, JK slides on the helmet and smiles. JK walks over and joins the congregation of other gladiators, you will notice he is surrounded by his fellow bandmembers as them. The Roman guard gives the cue and all the gladiators, scream and run out in the glare of the mid-morning sun as the gates to the forum or swung open. OK, I know my imagination was getting interesting there, but I had to stop there, give you all the chance to come up what you think the video might be like 80, though I outdo myself sometimes;-)! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

I don't know if I am happy (for having news about Jamiroquai and the forthcoming video) or ..................Jay as a Gladiator??? But like you said JamiroFan, who knows, maybe it can turn out a good video. |

JK wouldn't be much of a meal for the lions. The kitty may have to take out Derrick too to get a full stomach 'Tis a joke, laugh!
This is quite interesting to me. The first video is coming, so that's great news itself. Worse comes to worse, it'll give us a good laugh. But I never envisioned Jay as a Indian warrior, and then Corner of the Earth dropped. Guess I should learn to expect the unexpected with Jamiroquai.[/quote] _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. That would be strange if it was indeed true. And Jamirofan, I like your little anthology there! The part with the helmet! Haha!
Let's just hope its a Little L, as in Little Lion! |

I don´t see Jay killing and murdering people, even if he has to defend his live. Anyway, it´s a great opportunity for seing all the band members in a videoclip.
He want´s to be a mega-star, so he need splendorous-llamative videos, if you know what I mean. But I can´t imaging any jamiroquai song going with a roman circus. |

Yeah, Jam better have something really crazy to pull off the whole Roman Gladiator shtick. I'd expect the video to be really chaotic, and so would the song.
I would say Black Devil Wife, because from what we've heard, it's really fast-paced and frantic. But the song's about a car, so scratch that idea _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. Thanks!!!
Hello again, :bm_r:
Thanks for all the warm vibes guys ! Especially Missiroquai, I'm really happy you liked my usually long piece of ending-post jape, I try my best to make the end of some longs posts interesting to read . I really like your new banner Missiroquai , looks like all the JamiroTalk.net regulars have created their own signature Jamirobanners, really a cool idea! I hope you guys like my banner, created for me by EvoV, I think it turned out AWESOME! In regards to JK being lionmeat, Yeah, he is all flesh and bones, but if I were the lion, I would pass on eating JK and move on to the meater members of the band like Derrick or Wallace (If somehow in a fantasy he wandered onto the video)...hehe ! Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

Haha!!!! Very funny!!! That picture of Jay! Man, I thought he was skinny but now I see that picture!!!
But hey, we are talking about Jay as a gladiator, maybe he is just the emperor or something (like Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator) and he is not restling!
Or he comes from the future to take the past to a funky odyssey on a black capricorn day, the space cowboy and the cosmic girl (of the gladiators time, obviously) they go and shoot the moon together everyday, and they spend a lifetime, while mr moon plays that tune. And when everything is alright , the kids (from the gladiators time too) appear and they want to steal them. And Jay says "stop! dont panic guys! Where are you going from here? where's your soul education?". And then the thieves leave the place because they see him and realise he is too young to die (well that plus the girl is soooo hot!!!!). And then he starts singing the song. Maybe Im just being paranoid and the video is just another story. 8)
PS: My imagination went light years away.

Diego, when they time-travel, would they be travelling without moving?
That was great, man _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. Otherwise, I have to be honest, I can see a situation where...there is a possibility that you become lost in the annals of acid jazz history." -- Jason Kay |

Exactly. And they synkronize the watches so they can travel at a supersonic speed. But then theres a problem with the "time machine". They start falling, and he says "oh no! Layla, I dont know but whatever it is, I just cant stop". They are on some corner of the earth and they cant get out. And suddenly, he sees a little butterfly and a black crow flying in the sky, and a bullet appears from nowhere and kills them both.
J cannot believe what happened, because you know he released a record called Emergency On Planet Earth, so you can imagine his consternation when he sees that death.
What happened then? How did they get to the gladiators era?
We'll see. |

Hmmm...
( Thinks to self, is Diego being a good moderator OR trying to dethrone JamiroFan2000 from being the most clever and funny postter on JamiroTalk.net?? ....Naw, he wouldn't do that ....or would he! ) ! !
Sincerely hoping not,
