Speculation: Will the band come to the U.S. next time?
I know all of the U.S. fans have been dying to see him, so do you think he'll do a U.S. tour this time? Especially if the new album does not have strong sales in the U.S.
Will it be small club shows or will it be big arena/stadium tour? Only a few major cities involved L.A., Chicago, N.Y., maybe San Fran, or do you think there's a chance he mioght do other major cities too (i.e. Minneapolis lol)
And lastly, say the new album somehow attains big popularity in the U.S., goes platinum, etc. Will us purists like the new fan support (or re-gained for the first time since the Virtual Insanity days), or will we complain about all the band-wagon jumpers?
I'll shut up now, sorry if you guys think I'm a retard, and feel free to tell me that if you think I'm one lol. I might even change my name to Jamiro-tard lol. Lata y'all and I'll be interested to see your posts.
P.S.- if anoyne is feeling a little charitable and willing to get me some recordings of the band (I have only a few) I'd be very thankful. Lata y'all.

I really hope Jamiroquai comes to the US! I still have yet to see them perform live (very sad Crying or Very sad ) If they do come, i hope they stop by D.C. cause i'm going to college in the fall in Annapolis, so that'd be awesome. Arg! my boyfriend actually met Jamiroquai a few years ago!!! (I didnt know my boyfriend at the time) He knew the guy who ran one of the clubs they played at, so he got to meet Jay and the gang! (i'm just a bit jealous, hehe. 2flirt ) Maybe if we all wish hard enough, Jamiroquai will stop by the states.

keep on groovin'

Patience is a touring virtue....
buffaloman_R Hello, :bm_r:

Confused Well Confused, I think we will have to have some patience on the whole touring issue. I know we American fans, it seems above all other tour spots, deserve a Jamiroquai tour for once. But I think they will only tour the U.S. if they have added security, cause you remember Jamiroquai was stranded in NYC for a week following 9/11. I don't know if Jamiroquai still consider it safe to tour in the States, but who knows what will happen, they might go back to their original "Big City" states touring they have always done. Just wait, I'm sure they will announce a complete tour schedule a few months prior to the new album's release date (September at last check for the 6th album Wink! Thanks for listening and keep the American Jamiroquai vibes alive, you U.S. fans make a fellow fan like me proud Wink! Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

Somebody superimpose an American flag inside the Buffalo Man. That's us, baby!

I just hope they make it to the U.S. If so, I'm praying Boston(or even better, Providence) will be on the docket. But it will all depend on Sony/Epic and their marketing skills.

Which is why I have an unditchable feeling that this album's gonna crash and burn here and everywhere else it strikes gold and platinum up the wazoo....I just can't see Jam making it back to their TWM days here Stateside. I can hope, though, and as long as you have that, there's still a chance, right ?

No matter what though, they have my support.

Well...

I really think this time they are preparing something really good. I mean a good promotional campain, lots of tours (including of course all America), really amazing videos (don't talk about skinny Jay fighting the lions!), everybody will talk about them again, and the most important thing: good music.

It is a feeling I have, don't ask me why.

Diego I hope you're right, but...
...I get the feeling Supersonic1 is right. It would be awesome if Sony put more $$$ into U.S. promotion of Jamiroquai's upcoming album, but it would have to be a very critically acclaimed album with a track that is top 40 friendly (unfortunately) for there to be big success over here. If Sony doesn't see potential in that, sales won't be big, and probably no tour in the U.S. But Diego, I hope Im wrong and you're right.

welllll i read in articles that when jay was in ny on sept 11th it freaked him out and from the way the article sounded he really didnt want to come back....so i have no idea i dont think hes that flakey though? who knows.
Anyway since im new here ill take this chance to introduce my self...i used to claim to be jamiroquai's biggest american fan, but to be honest virutal insanity is what got me i fell in love with his voice and the sound of the music (i had always been a big fan of the pointer sisters and such..love the funky stuff so it was only natural i took to jami) and i then went and bought every other album they had and ive been obsessed ever since...you have to give me a break though i was 12 and wasnt too deep in to music then so my seeing them on tv was an earth shattering moment.
BUT back on topic, the people i just meet who say they LOVE jamiroquai but only have seen or cared about the virutal insanity video really bother me so all the newbies on the bandwagon would definaltey bother me. but im all for people waking up and loving the music i just want them to come to america...and i know the fan base here is small but i still wish they would come to like...atleast 12 cities i would so travel to see jay...were so neglected in the us but thats okay... I MUST MEET JAY SOMEDAY and i also am envious of the euro fans cushy relationship with the band...it makes me want to move! maybe i will...
whats also VERY sad is that i have 1 poster ive had since i was 13 you know the big b/w one of jay's head...the thing is so sad and mauled im 18 now and its with me at college i need a new one and then youll see my avatar is my pair of green adidas i got because they were identical to the ones jay wore in the space cowboy vid i believe...yah they are tore up too i wore them every day...

ok sorry no more trips down memory lane...

Since this my first post, I'll introduce myself. To JamiroFan and Pete (Jaminneapolis) and anyone else that posts at Funkin. this is Phil from the Funkin guestbook. I don't think I can claim the title of the Biggest US Jamiroquai Fan, I can probably say I'm their biggest fan in Portland, Oregon! Like alot of Americans my age I became a fan when Virtual Insanity came out back in 96'.

My biggest hopes for Jamiroquai are that they get the recognition they deserve, achieve platinum success in the US and go on a major world tour. Of course they gotta come check out the The Rose Garden Arena. I realize their chances of getting as big in the US as the TWM days are slim, but not impossible. We just might be pleasantly suprised......

Yeah, a trip to the Rose Garden would be in perfect order! I live rather close, but would still drive down to California if it meant it. I really think there is a good chance of him coming around, alot of today's pop artists are getting into heavy groove related stuff (Outkasy *Bowtie*, Usher *Bad Girl*, Justin Timberlake *Senorita*). And since I recently got the Live in Verona, it makes me wanna see him even more. I'm still saving up pennies in order to someday go to the UK and see the man himself!
