Robbie Williams 'Lovelight'... very Jamiroquaish?
Hello Jamirotalkers,
I gotta say, I'm not a big big fan of Robbie, but I can't deny he's a great entertainer, and every record is quite different one from another. And I'm digging this new song, which I heard people saying that it sounds a little bit like a song Jamiroquai could easily play.
What do you think?

I don't think it sounds similar to Jamiroquai. Maybe the refrain sounds a bit jami disco funk, but I don't think the song in a global sense has a manifest similarity.
I don't know why, but this kind of music and this look reminds me a bit more to George Michael (it's so similar to his last song and video, 'an easier affair').

For me it is not like "jamiroquai"...it has a disco beat, but no funk for me.
But I am anyway no fan of Robbie _________________

Very Prince/Timberlake style of song - definitively non Robbie voice. Black Sweat I felt! Great production! Nice horns & gradation of the song.
Btw. - very bad clip I think - specially direction and cutting of scenes is awful. |

He doesn't look at all like he sounds. As a matter of fact, he looks like a guy who would hate the type of song he just sang, kinda ironic...lol. It's an alright tune I guess, then only similarity between him and JMQ is the Rhodes they use in the chorus. I think its too mainstream to sound like JMQ, although there kind headed that way...good find tho. |

This song sounds like a remix of a BeeGees songs. Very high pitched vocals and punchy beat. I don't really like it very much but whateva |

Yeah, I agree about that.
I don't think it's particularly Jamiroquai-like....but I think it's unusually good for being Robbie music _________________ Sarah |

Not bad...
But ayt the end of the day- He still won't break through in the U.S.
Take a seat next to Jamiroquai on that front _________________ Wouldn't 'ya like... To walk the sunny avenues of life? |

Hmm... I don't think it's Jamiroquai-ish... but this and Rudebox are two decent tracks! |

What Pete said. _________________ "...I feel that Jamiroquai needs to be taken to another stage now. It really does. Otherwise, I have to be honest, I can see a situation where...there is a possibility that you become lost in the annals of acid jazz history." -- Jason Kay |
