Since I listen to bootlegs I'm always wanted to know where do Jamiroquai takes the samples!
3 weeks ago I listened to this song at the radio : MARSS - Pump up the volume : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfO7pDAVvTY&mode=related&search=

and there you can hear the "Brothers and sisters" and the "Pump pump it up"!!

So searched a little on the internet and i found that somebody says that the brothers and sisters is taken from a gig from Public Enemy where you can hear a little at the beginning of this song :Rebel Without A Pause

The "Brothers and Sisters" sample is taken from a speech by Jesse Jackson. It's been used by many artists, eg PE, M.A.R.R.S, The Pharcyde and 2Pac.

The "Pump-Pump-Pump-Pump Me Up" sample is taken from 'Pump Me Up' by Trouble Funk.

that's it Smile

i also knew the publim enemy sample and the pomp me up from grandmaster flah...but rappers have never notihng of their own....so you never get the "fountain" in the rappers, it's sampled from somewhere else.

i didn't know about truble funk, i will search and listen Smile
