Rebecca Ziegler - Jay's new love? Living life in the fast lane THE latest Sydney girl to be whisked across the globe on the arm of an international superstar is 23-year-old swimwear model Rebecca Ziegler. The North Shore girl, on the books of model agency Amanda Cameron Management, was given a one-way ticket to England by Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay and left 11 days ago to meet up with the funkster. Confidential hears the duo are now travelling through Italy in his Ferrari, one of the many fine cars the singer owns. According to Confidential's barfly, the pair spotted each other at Justin Hemmes' George St venue, The Establishment, and instantly struck up a conversation. No doubt Ziegler was one of the reasons Kay told reporters what a "cracking place" the Establishment was during his rescheduled press conference. (He had to cancel the planned news conference after a heavy night on the sauce.) Kay immediately offered the young model an invitation to spend the day on the harbour with him and later asked her to travel with him during the rest of his time in Australia. According to friends, Ziegler was not a particular fan of Jamiroquai before meeting the frontman and that, although now she was his official girlfriend, she still planned to continue her modelling career. Amanda Cameron Management is said to be setting her up with an agency in England so she can work while being close to her new love. Kay follows in the well-trodden footsteps of stars who have found romance on a visit to the Harbour city. unfair This whole thing is not fair! I'm 23 and from the north shore, why not meet me at the establishment?! (maybe the swimwear model thing d'ya reckon?!?!)!!

The megastar, 32, whose stellar rock career has been blighted by speeding bans, booze-fuelled bust-ups and a cocaine habit, has whisked Ziegler to Italy for a romantic holiday. The singer fell for Ziegler, 23, after they met at a Sydney bar earlier this year when Jamiroquai toured Australia. The relationship almost failed to leave the ground when Ziegler gave Kay the wrong phone number. But Kay tracked her down and the north shore Sydneysider was by the side of the British band's frontman for much of the remainder of their time in Australia. Kay later gave Ziegler a ticket to England and she left earlier this month to meet up with the funkster. This week the lovebirds were touring Italy. According to friends, Ziegler was not a major fan of Jamiroquai, which headlined the Vibes on a Summer's Day festival at Melbourne's Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The brunette-turned-blonde is registered with modelling agency Amanda Cameron Management. The agency refused to release pictures of Ziegler this week and was reticent about her relationship with Kay. However, Amanda Cameron confirmed Ziegler and Kay were an item. The agency was understood to be setting Ziegler up with another agency in the UK so she could continue modelling while being close to her new love. One of Britain's biggest pop sensations, Kay has a personal fortune estimated at more than $60 million, including a $6 million Buckinghamshire manor house and a car collection valued at $4.5 million. Since Jamiroquai's 1992 emergence from London's acid jazz underworld, the band has sold more than 20 million albums globally, including its chart-topping latest offering A Funk Odyssey. But the singer with a voice often compared to that of Stevie Wonder has also courted his share of controversy. At the Brit Awards this year, Kay was a headline stealer for all the wrong reasons. Jamiroquai lost out to Travis in the Best British Group award and, at an after-show bash, Kay was reported to have made drunken threats of violence to photographers. Security had to step in to calm him down. Late last year, Kay was in court facing charges of assault and criminal damage after a fracas with a photographer outside a London nightclub in April. The charges, which Kay denied, were dropped due to lack of evidence. In 1994, he was thrown out of a club in a French ski resort after hitting a bouncer. Kay confessed last year to having had a six-year cocaine habit. And the Jamiroquai star has been banned three times for speeding offences, including a 1998 incident when he was caught driving at almost 180km/h. Kay also had a lucky escape when he dropped plans for a sightseeing trip to the World Trade Centre on the morning of September 11, electing instead to stay in bed and recover from the previous night's partying. Jay Kay and Rebecca-an item?!? Hello , Your pretty fast with the news, Cosmicmouse, looks like Jay is determined to find a new love! I first thought Jay had a chance with Heidi Klum, but looks like Jay Kay prefers swimsuits over the wonderbra... ! I've seen a couple of photos of Rebecca and I think she is a perfect fit for Jay Kay, seems like a nice , honest , and lovely lady! I don't know if it will be a long distance releationship, but the given the three week holiday, looks like Jay can move all of those complimentary Jamie Oliver cookbooks out of the spare room and get the car dealer on the phone and ready the free car for the prospective woman.. .., I know I'm thinking a little too ahead! I just hope Jay FINALLY finds the love he's been looking for, I think that's the hopes of most Jamiroquai fans, to see Jay happy ! Well, I agree with you JamiroFan2000, I want to see Jay happy! Maybe that's the way to hear some new happy lovesongs of Jamiroquai soon... Jay's a naughty boy! Was reading a Sunday newspaper when I came across this: It seems that Jay's "romance with Rebecca Ziegler was no more than just a fling. According to yesterday's News of The World newspaper in the UK, "Pop pin-up" Jay took part in (and I quote) "drug fuelled nights of lust with topless dancer Beba Watson, 21, just a week last Thursday" Apparantely she is the former lover of Eminem! The article goes on to say that "his (Jay's) spokesman Dave Woolf said that the star did meet Beba in Paris but said he slept with another girl and not her" Beba's reply to this was "Poor Jay, we did so much cocaine that he's got amnesia. What we did was wild." In principle, I do not believe those kind of gossip from the yellow press. Nevertheless it makes me feel concerned about him. What, if there is a bit of truth in it? I don't care, if he had wild sex with this chick. It's his live and it's his thing how to handle his relationships. We don't even know, if Jay and Rebecca are/were a couple...and so we also don't know, if he was unfaithfull to her, or not. But apart from this, it is sad, that you have no privat live when you are famous. What makes me even more worry is this drug thing. I really hope, that this is not true!!! If Jay has done what the papers say....thats up 2 him, his human and its his life just like anyone elses, I dont believe what the papers are saying, Jays a good person one of the only few left Id love to look after him. I just hope he lives his life for himself not just for his fans.......because his not just our idol he is a person.......look after yourself Jay (your fans will always love you)! xxx

I will look after him too .. in my own way... Yes love fool 4or JK. I will look afterhim too. And I will tell you how: I will hit the hell out of him! for all the unsense he is doing. he will be so bruised he won't walk for 1 week at least! Hey nat, life is fair: you are so lucky you did not met JK. If what the papers say is true. Who wants to be the girlfriend of such a person ? OK a little vacation ot Italy is a Ferrari might sound tempting, but the rest. Please spare us! It makes me angry to read all these stories. What will remain of his talent ? His talent is his asset nbr 1, as you mentioned CosmicBear. We fans invested on this guy. I want to see him concentrate on the music and not dissipating himself like an half-brained fool.
