NEW BOND: Danial Craig In "Casino Royale"!
Hello,
The next chapter of the longest running and most successful action movie franchise of the last 40 years, James Bond AKA 007, begins anew with the sixth actor to presume the role as MI6's most famous and masterful spy . British actor Danial Craig ( He is a AMAZING actor, to see his best acting, check him out in the recent British gangster movie "Layercake" ) assumes the role of a much more hard-broiled, law-bending and arrogant young Bond, a much different protrayal of Bond from the easy going law abiding version of all the other movies, right after getting his OO rating from a reluctant M (Played yet again by Dame Judi Dench) and goes into his first mission for MI6. This remake of the first 1967 Iam Fleming's first novel about the superspy, which featured Peter Sellers as Bond in the comical movie adaptation, follows Bond as he hunts down his first adversary Le Chiffre, a crooked banker to the funding of world terrorism, and he must hunt him down on the musky shores of Montinegro in Madagascar in high stakes poker at the befitting tropical resort of "Casino Royale". I will be attending a sneak preview of this new movie tonight, so I will post my mini-review of it tomorrow, but I'm sure from the reviews I have read it will be ONE HELL OF A RIDE! Thanks for listening and I would like a vodka martini....shaken, not stirred!
Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

I was horrified to see a clip of Bond on TV last night where he rolled the Aston to avoid hitting a girl in the road - priorities James, priorities! _________________

Daniel Craig is the closest to Ian Flemming's original vision of bond since Timothy Dalton. Dalton went back and re-read ALL of the novels when he was cast as Bond, which NO other actor has done. The problem was that, at the time, there were various contractual and copyright wrangles going on, hence the gap of 6 years between Living Daylights and Goldeneye. (the studio was legally not allowed to make a "Bond" movie in that time) Too much time had elapsed for Dalton to come back. Also, at the time of his movies, the studio was competing with the new format of action movie e.g Lethal Weapon etc. In the first few films, Connery put his own spin on the character and this proved so popular that Lazenby, Moore and Brosnan all copied it to a certain extent. Connery is most peoples choice as the "best Bond" but in my opinion only those who have never read the original novels. They are FAR better than the movies and in some cases the movies have been a re-hash of 2 or 3 different novels with only the title staying the same. Dalton WAS the real Bond. A stone-cold assasin, and not some pseudo stand-up comedian superspy. He was rough, extremely violent, arrogant, tormented, ill-tempered, mysogonistic, disturbed and not particularly politically correct. I would go as far as to say that a LOT of people who like him in the Hollywood interpretations of Flemming's work would probably NOT like him in the books.
I have seen the film and am blown away (no pun intended) by Craigs performance. I hope he will remain as Bond for many years to come and am extremely happy that he has proved his doubters (and all of the journalists who savaged him unfairly and mercillesly) wrong.
Good Luck Daniel, I am glad you've been signed up for "Bond 22".......................you've obviously done your homework..........
p.s Jamirofan200, the funny thing is that in the first few movies Bond's Vodka Martini was "stirred and not shaken" then it changed to "shaken and not stirred" but when Craig asks for one and the barman says "stirred or shaken" Craig says he doesn't care Also as another bit of trivia, any good barman will tell you that they wouldn't serve a "shaken" Vodka Martini because when you shake it the ice turns the drink cloudy and Daniel Craig is the 9th Bond. There's been Niven(tv), Nelson(tv), Holness(radio), Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton and Brosnan.
p.p.s you would think that with Jay's money he'd have the invisible Vanquish from Die Another Day (woeful bond movie) _________________ THE OPPOSITE OF LOVE IS NOT HATE. IT'S INDIFFERENCE.
