The "Et Cetera" of the Digital Discography!!!
Hello, :bm_r:
I spent a little time last night going through my pile of Jamiroquai printouts from over the years, mostly copies of the "Jamiroquai Digital Discography" and the Jamiroquai Discography from the "Funkin Site", used mostly as Fan reference material. Well, I was reminded in how wonderful the old "Jamiroquai Digital Discography" was by reminising by browsing the 22 page printout of the "Et Cetera" section of the site. If your not familiar with this branch of the "Digital Discography", it's the seciton of the site where they completely list EVERY JAMIROQUAI SONG, REMIX, EDIT, MIX, EXTENDED VERSION, and where they appeared and what CD you can find them on . This is a invaluable resource for Jamiroquai collectors looking to attain specific singles, promos and everything ! Also it lists all the "Vinyl Only Instrumental" Jam songs & other interesting tidbits. Here's a link to the "Et Cetera" section of the "Jamiroquai Digital Discography", I hope you find it as amazing and informative as I have when referencing to it's info from over the years :

Thanks for listening and Peace!
Sincerely,

Amazing stuff
I wish I could say I own at least one thing on that list but, tragically, I don't! Is there anybody that does own anything from there? I'd be fascinated to know... |

I guess you could try Ebay, but they would be really expensive and hard to hunt out.
I just realised, I do have something on that list: Online Oddessy (under Snooze You Lose)
It's the least rarest thing on there...but still |

Right. But for a collector like me mp3s aren't good. I want the original bootlegs! Something I could show with pride ROTFL _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here... |

i think, i got these songs (check quote). i know for sure about main vain - live, picture of my life and do it like we used to do it. not sure about the 20-0-1 versions tho. i do have three us- and uk-promo-releases and a so-called 'test pressing' but i actually wouldn't bet on it. i haven't noticed that 20-0-1 is longer on this (but haven't listened to it for a while now)
found them all on ebay (and payed way too much money for some of them)
is there any way to indicate that the cds are those specific versions?

Main Vein - Live
Difficulty In Obtaining - 4 / 5
Available on - A Funk Odyssey (Singapore "Special Asian Tour Edition"); You Give Me Something (European Part Three Release, Japanese Release, UK DVD Release)
- This is a tricky song to track down but it's findable.
Twenty Zero One - Edit
Difficulty In Obtaining - 5 / 5
Available on - unknown
- This song exists on a promotional version of A Funk Odyssey, though not much else is known about it.
Twenty Zero One - Longer
Difficulty In Obtaining - 5 / 5
Available on - A Funky Odyssey (UK Test Pressing)
- Good God this is rare! It was issued on the UK Test Pressing of A Funk Odyssey which I believe was only distributed amongst a select group of Sony officials.
Picture Of My Life - Album Edit
Difficulty In Obtaining - 4.5 / 5
Available on - A Funk Odyssey (UK Album Sampler, UK Cassette Release, UK CD-R Sampler, UK Promo Sampler, UK Test Pressing, US Promo)
- This edit is fairly commonly distrubuted amongst promotional copies of the album, but these promos themselves aren't overly common so finding this song is still challenging.
Do It Like We Used To Do
Difficulty In Obtaining - 3.5 / 5
Available on - A Funk Odyssey (Australian Release, Japanese Cassette Promo, Japanese Release, Singapore "Special Asian Tour Edition"); Do It Like We Used To Do (Spanish Promo); You Give Me Something (European Part Three Release, UK Cassettee Release, UK DVD Release)
- A b-side to You Give Me Something, this song never really got a wide release though it's definitely not rare. |
