Jamiroquai: Live At The BBC exist?!?
Hello,
Given the past success and amazing quality of various musical legends recordings "Live At The BBC", I put a question to my Sony friend if Jamiroquai had done any kind of recordings for the BBC over the years . Being probably the ONLY knowledgable Sony rep with UK contacts, he said to me that they DO exist, but he can't say from what eras of the band they are from. Negating the recent recordings from the Syn-Dyna Eras (From 1999-2005) for the BBC Radio stations, there have to be some recordings that exist "pre-new sound" from Jamiroquai in the BBC vaults somewhere....I just read that Oasis has a edition of "Live At The BBC" coming out in mid 2007. So, I leave this prospect of discussion, if Jamiroquai did recordings for the BBC, how large of a release would it be, 1 or 2 discs, and from what eras could have they recorded Jamiroquai from ? Thanks for listening and I will let you know more about this important topic when I can contact him further. Peace!
Sincerely,

721 Finsbury Park 1997
965 Unknown 2003 (released 2003, most likely recorded 2002) _________________ Old school forever! |

Yeah, I bet lots of gigs were recorded for BBC. So except for those In Concert CD's there must be hours of recordings in the BBC vaults... and/or at Jay's mansion.
At the top of my head:
Glasgow 1994
London (Maida Vale) 1999
London (Covent Garden) 2000
And then there were those small performances when they played just on or two songs. There's a bunch of those recorded by the BBC as well. Not to mention all those we don't even know of. _________________ Old school forever! |

Hello again,
Your always a great resevoir of info, thanks alot Jonas for all of it . But that still get you to thinking that it's possible that the early Jamiroquai could have recorded some radio tracks that haven't been released, I mean, BBC radio did support alot of up and coming artists in the early 90s. I know John Peel had mentioned Jamiroquai 1 or 2 times as a fav new artist, but I only heard that on secondhand info. Thanks again though for the info, much appreciated!
Sincerely,
