why not better this is uploadede as a torrent? i know you puta lot of effort uploading this but i think 602 mb is too much to download directly . i thin it would be much better if you can uploaded in for example the traders den or dime
thanks |
First of all... such a bad rip will be banned at places like DIME and The Trader's Den.
Secondly... I have a life, responsibilities. I don't have time to work my ass off to please everybody.
Thirdly... it's very easy to rip it yourself if you only figure out what tools to use. You have 4 weeks on your hands. With a PC it should be kid's play since there are shedloads of freeware available for this kind of stuff. The tools available for Mac are somewhat limited... hence I had to use some unconventional methods.
So... sorry... but this is the upload I'm providing. I even asked for good places to put it but no one gave me any hints so I found GigaSize and used it. I also suggested a Pando tree... that could always be sorted out if people agree to do it the proper way. _________________ Old school forever! |

In full screen you can notice a difference. At least on my Mac. The MOV looks smoother. Not much, but still enough to justify the bigger download 602MB instead of 440MB). _________________ Old school forever! |

I don't wanna sound the "teacher's pet of media formats" but transcoding a file from a format to another doesn't raise it's quality, this operation can only lower the quality because another lossy encoding is applied. Is it possible to perceive a better quality because the video encoder can apply video filters that can be applied during the play as well.
This is just to say: if you can see the source WMV you can have the best quality. _________________ I once had a 10 years of Travelling Without Moving celebrations banner here...

Let me clarify... the MOV looks exactly like the stream in QT Pro. But, the WMV dump does not look as good in Windows Media Player. This is on a Mac and for some reason QT Pro won't play the WMV for me. VLC can play it but it's acting up if you want to pause, ffw or rew. The reason I ended up with a MOV in the first place was because I had to surpass something... you know what Rinaldo. _________________ Old school forever! |

Ok... interestingly enough I can play the WMW in QT Pro now! But only after installing the latest version of Flip4Mac WMV Player.
And guess what? There is no difference whatsoever compared to the MOV.
But... when I play the WMV with Windows Media Player (again... for Mac) it looks like shite compared to the MOV (or the very same file with QT Pro/Flip4Mac if you wish).
The difference is best seen in full screen, but also in a 320x240 window you can notice a difference.
So the quality perceived when playing the WMV is very much depending on what player and filters I'm using.
I guess the 436.7MB WMV is what we want to share then. Being about 160MB less in size it saves time both for upload and download.
GigaSize wouldn't accept the WMV for upload so I need someone to suggest a better and reliable place that will accept a file of that size. _________________ Old school forever! |

Reinstall! MOV is the native QT format. If it doesn't play MOV your installation is corrupt. _________________ Old school forever! |

Sorry about that... my youngest daughter took control of my computer and managed to click the delete url I had on my desktop. Sorry about that. Hang on for a while and the WMV will be up eventually. _________________ Old school forever! |
