Rock Profile? Isn't that the piss-take show made by Matt Lucas and David Walliams before they decided to ruin and annoy the entire civilised world by making Little Britain? Was there also a serious music-biog show with the same name?

LOOOOL Heather!!! WCoD!!!!!
"Rock Profile" was aired in the UK in 2000-01 and is a spoof interview-type comedy featuring, as Sam said, Matt Lucas and David Walliams with Jamie Theakston as "presenter/interviewer" in every episode. Each week, Jamie interviews different characters, such as: Shirley Bassey and Tom Jones; George Michael and Geri Halliwell; Elton John and David Furnish; Duran Duran, and Take That. It is quite funny, esp Shirley and Tom and Elton John.
A couple of Rock Profile clips:
Shirley & Tom 1
Shirley & Tom 2
Shirley & Tom 3
George & Geri 1
George & Geri 2
George & Geri 3 _________________ Jamiroquai - it's stitched into the clothes that I wear... |

Heather, I wish you didn't like Little Britain. It's so shit it's unbelievable. But Rock Profile is absolute genius, seriously. The BeeGees episode in particular...

Please - don't judge me by my desperation for British smut !!!
I am desperate, desperate, desperate for British sitcoms and Little Britain is an instant cure it's concentrated effect makes up for years of nothing.
I'm going to look for Rock Profile on DVD now. |

I just googled Planet Rock Profiles and came up with two showings of the Jamiroquai profile on May 13 and 22nd on Showtime Next. I am assuming this is the US Showtime. (I got confused when I googled Biography Channel thinking it was the US channel got all excited when I saw a Jamiroquai biography and then realized that there is a Brit Bio Channel and I wouldn't be able to see the Jamiroquai show.......). It does get confusing with all these channels that are international or maybe I am just slow on the uptake.
I, of course, don't subscribe to Showtime and even if I did I doubt my dishnetwork gets the Showtime Next. But the local cable provider does so I must beg my girlfriend to record it for me if it indeed is airing here................
Susaleenah who is not always in a state of confusion it just seems that way........

Planet Rock, that makes more sense. Incidentally, I'd have paid good money to see a 'Jamiroquai' episode of Rock Profile.
Heather, sorry but I can't forgive you for that. Get Phoenix Nights, or Peep Show, or Alan Partridge or anything, but NOT Little Britain...

Well done Anna, a missionary action from you. Those long years in exile in a hot climate are addling the poor woman's brain...
