Hard to Believe, After 5 years, Maroon 5 is BACK!!!
buffaloman_R Hello, buffaloman_R

Rolling Eyes After five long years, it appears Maroon 5 is back with...not ANOTHER Live Album, but a proper follow-up to their multi-platinum selling album "Songs About Jane", here's the info Rolling Eyes :

It Won't Be Soon Before Long in stores May 22nd!

Maroon 5 will release their much-anticipated sophomore album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long (A&M/Octone Records) worldwide on May 22nd.

The follow-up to Songs About Jane is going to be "sexier and stronger," gaining inspiration from 80s icons such as Prince, Michael Jackson and Talking Heads.Recorded at home in Los Angeles with producers Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Eminem), Mark "Spike" Stent (Bjork, Keane, Gwen Stefani, Marylin Manson), Mark Endert (Madonna, Fiona Apple), and Eric Valentine (Queens of the Stone Age, Nickel Creek) the album is a louder take on the pop sounds of their first effort. As Adam says, "It’s definitely aggressive, upbeat and pounding." The first single, "Makes Me Wonder," is a hard hitting pop rock anthem which you’ll be hearing shortly. Keep checking back for more updates on the new record.Track listing is as follows:

If I Never See Your Face Again
Makes Me Wonder
Little Of Your Time
Wake Up Call
Won’t Go Home Without You
Nothing Lasts Forever
Can’t Stop
Goodnight, Goodnight
Not Falling Apart
Kiwi
Better That We Break
Back At Your Door

Maroon 5 are confirmed to open for The Police. Tuesday, July 10th at Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Florida.

Smile I know, I should be happy about this news, but it doesn't erase the fact that Maroon 5 is the most "abused band by a label" in American Music Smile. I mean, when a new act makes a impact THIS BIG, you don't cash in on them this quickly by rushing out 2 live albums, it worked for Peter Frampton back in the 70s, but not nowadays. But that's just my opinion, look forward to hearing their new stuff. Thanks for listening and Peace!

Sincerely,
JamiroFan2000

P.S. Here's a little preview of 2 of the new songs from the album, live recordings of "Makes Me Wonder" (The First single) & "Wake Up Call". Enjoy!:

I heard the single "Makes Me Wonder" today and I have to admit that I really dig it. It does not sound like Maroon 5 at all to me, which is neither good or bad. I keep playing it though...

The lyrics are funny and dope..The song is about getting caught cheating and not having a reason for it. The singer is saying 'Makes Me Wonder if I ever gave a f*ck about you"...It's a bit cheesy, but I dig it.

And I saw them in concert 2 years ago and they were pretty good actually.

And Adam Levine is luscious...good lord, that man is so NOT unattractive....

Because I don't follow Maroon 5 too closely, I never knew it had been 5 years since they had something out.

The length of time between releases has nothing to do with whether I dig or song or not though.

Plus, they had some serious label issues that got in the way.

I didn't rush out to hear this and it fell in my lap yesterday...so it's all good.

I think I played it too much in too little time. It's starting to become a little tart to me Smile , but I still dig it.

ARTIST: MAROON5

SINGLE: MAKES ME WONDER

Grammy Award-winning 2005 best new artist Maroon5 makes good on the promise of its potential by making a mighty return with daring, playful dance jam "Makes Me Wonder," which takes on top 40's resistance to straight-ahead uptempo pop. To say this song is hook-laden is like suggesting that Angelina Jolie has a mild maternal instinct -- an understatement of grand proportions. There's simply not a note that isn't adhesively alluring. Mirthful beats underlie a depth-filled lyric that hints at broader societal discontent than the surface insinuates: "Give me something to believe in/Cause I don't believe in you anymore." The beat conjures Jamiroquai merriment, while lead singer Adam Levine stamps "Wonder" with recognizable punch and exultant harmonies.
