Actually, I think the Weekend-Ticket is the best option for us Rinaldo, it's actually very cheap. The only downside is the amount of time it takes to get there... Renting a car is probably not the best option, because of the costs.
And hey, it would actually be great if a few other people join us (as we can go with 5 people using the same €33 ticket), the more the merrier, right?

Just one question to Meike about the Wochende-Ticket; isn't this type of ticket limited to just one State (the one you buy it in; Berlin, in our case)?

No, Rob - as far as I know it's valid in whole Germany. But I will better look again to be 100% sure!!

Grmpf.. I was a bit wrong, sorry - the weekend ticket is only for one day, from 0:00 until 3:00 am the following day. So for your return you need to buy another ticket again... Rolling Eyes

But it is for whole Germany like I said.

Sorry for the wrong info.

But if you are sharing the ticket it is still a good price.
When you are travelling alone I guess I would pay the normal prize which is 51 EUR for a one-way ticket to Vechelde (my home) because the journey will be under 2 hours then. But that's a question of priorities of course.

I remember now that there also was something like a "good-evening-ticket" - I will check that option as well...

Rinaldo - isn't there a flight to Hannover directly, for a reasonable price?

I found a plane from Bergamo to Hannover. tuifly.com Very Happy

Great! 77,52 euros for the round trip (today) every tax included! I found it through the timetable of the hannover airport

ven, 29 giu 07
dep. 17.10 - arr. 18.50

dom, 01 lug 07
dep. 15.10 - arr. 16.40

That's not exactly a funny timetable but it's a direct flight! Very Happy
