I'll contribute with my own little history:
It all started back when I was just a newbie in the world of the internet. Back then I was trying to get my own brand-new hotmail account, and everything I came up with was already taken. So, big fan of disco music (well I still am) and the Simpsons, I reminded I always felt Disco Stu was kind of my alter-ego, so that was it. I didn't need to think anymore.
So it's been my internet nickname forever (well, ever since I use the internet) wherever it was available. This wasn't the case, you see, I had to add something to it!

you know here in Argentina we have a little theory about jamiroquai fans being simpson fans as well..  |
