Cool post High Times..........i am beginning to enjoy your posts more and more
I have only had the Roy Ayers version a few weeks but it is already a firm favourite of mine This version is very good also.........and to be honest i wasnt expecting a good track like that to come from this guy but hey i suppose you cannot go on looks eh?
Its strange becuase the first time i ever heard this track was on the Tupac song with the same name! They sample the chorus but hey you are probably aware of this anyway.
Great tune anyway! Roy Ayers is king!!! |

I'll buy his cd 1978 "what you wont do for love". |

WOW. Thanks High Times. This is incredible! Why do so many really GREAT funk artists like this have to dress themselves up to look like cheap, slightly sleazy lounge singers on their album covers, though? If they could just design something that looked... well... FUNKY, people would be so much more aware of them!

Agree with Sam there. Its like they have to try and look a certain way so they can make an attempt to appeal to a wider audience.
Which quite frankly bullsh*t huh? |
